Arts, Anderson Ranch Arts Center
Time: 5:00 PM
Anderson Ranch Arts Center presents Contemporary Collage, a juried exhibition of work open to all adult students in the Roaring Fork Valley who have taken an Anderson Ranch studio workshop in the past three years. The exhibition opens April 15th in conjunction with the Ranch Spring Open House and run through May 14th, 2008. The inspiration behind collage is a purposeful incongruity, resulting in a new relationship to the ordinary. Artists were invited to submit new work, investigate the political possibilities of collage, of fragmented forms, colliding into a fresh point of view. Below is one possible interpretation by show juror Isa Catto Shaw. Isa will be giving a brief ~ 10 minute talk to introduce the show at approximately 5 PM on Tuesday, April 15th in the upstairs gallery at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. (970)923-3181 x201
